Bugatti is all set to launch its new Destrier, a one-off hypercar made for a very special customer. Based on the Bolide, it brings together Bugatti’s classic design ideas with modern engineering and a highly customised finish.
The new Destrier is not just about speed. It gets a powerful 1,600-hp W16 engine, a very low 1-metre body and a luxury-focused cabin. With only one example planned, the car is set to be one of Bugatti’s most exclusive creations.
New 2027 Bugatti Destrier
The New 2027 Bugatti Destrier is a unique one-off hypercar created through Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire. It is based on the Bolide and combines its carbon-fibre monocoque with a design inspired by the legendary Type 57SC Atlantic. Only one Destrier will ever be made.
Under its low-slung body, the Destrier uses Bugatti’s 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,600 hp. The car stands just 1 metre tall and gets a bespoke Sapphire Celeste finish. Inside, it features Ambre Voyageur leather, nubuck and copper-thread textile, with more focus on luxury and craftsmanship than pure track performance.
Design & Exterior
The Bugatti Destrier is a one-off hypercar built through Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire. Its design takes inspiration from the Type 57SC Atlantic and the Bolide. It stands just 1 metre tall, making it the lowest Bugatti ever built. The Sapphire Celeste colour and large wheels give it a strong, unique look.
Engine & Performance
The Destrier gets Bugatti’s 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine, which produces 1,600 hp. The company has not shared its acceleration or top-speed figures yet. Unlike a track-focused hypercar, the Destrier puts more attention on luxury, design and craftsmanship while still offering serious performance from its powerful W16 engine.
Interior & Comfort
The interior of the Destrier has a very special finish, with Ambre Voyageur leather and nubuck used across the cabin. Bugatti has also added copper-thread 3D-knitted textile for a different look. The overall cabin feels more like a carefully made luxury space than a regular performance-focused hypercar.
